Egypt is to host an
international conference on the historical
relations between the Islamic world and the
West.
According to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Watan Daily,
the Federation of the Universities of the
Islamic World and Sweden’s Center for
Dialogue among Faiths co-organize the event
which is slated for October 24.
Discussing the historical relations between
the Islamic world and the West, ways to
combat terrorism and the political,
cultural, social and economic factors
concerning future relations between the
Islamic world and the West are among the
topics on the agenda.
The conference will also discuss the role of
local, governmental, and international
organizations in strengthening links between
the two.
Scholars and researchers from
Islamic and western countries, including
Egypt and Sweden, will be attending the
conference.
