"The Portrayal of Islam after Sep.11"
The event of sep.11 is a turning point in the West's attitude toward
Islam and Muslims.
All of sudden all those waiting to attack Islam grasped this
opportunity to fire their weapons at it.
Many of the speeches that didn't have the courage earlier aimed at
this target and tried to provoke antipathy in the world's public
opinion toward Islam and Muslims . On the other hand, many people
who knew nothing of Islam become curious and wanted to find out
about it and hence the Holy Quran turned into a best_seller
(although their purpose was probably to find evidence to support the
propaganda present).
It is now the esteemed intellectuals duty to attend to this
important subject and pin point its dimension.
America and Zionism have tried with all their power to reflect a
harsh portrait of Islam through the media and use it in all fields :
A. Books, magazines, and newspapers.
B. Media, radio, TV, internet…etc.
C. Religious societies, propaganda( churches, church chairman…)
D. Failure to reflect a distributed picture of Islam and the result
of their false propaganda.
We urge the esteemed intellectuals to send their views and
information through the website of the IRIC so that they would be
presented in the conference for all to benefit from them on Aug 6
2003 (the time will be announced later).
