ART: Atlantic Research Technologies
..."Worldwide executive search firm

service sectors." Please note that even though they are a world-wide
recruitment firm, they will only accept American or Canadian style
resumes in English. They do have information for you to follow in
converting your resume to this style. A sample of the jobs they are
working to fill is available.
Avotek Headhunters International Site
...a service of Avotek, this site
includes information on the many books they publish on the
International job search, but they also provide links to
international job banks, recruiters, and other sources.
DevNetJobs.org
....international development and
environment jobs and consultancies in UN agencies, NGOs,
foundations, etc etc etc. There is a fee for membership, but you can
review numerous sample listing before purchasing a membership. This
link takes you to their central site, but they also have several
sites targeted to specific geographic regions.
Goinglobal.com
Going Global is designed to support
international job seekers and professionals with a great array of
original country-specific career information. This site's content
and links provide users with a comprehensive tool kit for
evaluating, selecting and transitioning into a successful career in
a foreign country, including resume/CV writing advice, job sources,
work permit and visa regulations, cultural advice on more than 40
countries. Based on Mary Anne Thompson's book The Global Resume
and CV Guide, this is a treasure-trove of not only where to look
but how to look for new opportunities in various countries. Mary
Anne is an expert in this field, and the material in the database
and in the book is original country content that is being hand
gathered, monitored and updated by in-country professional
researchers. Some of the content is provided directly on this and
other partner sites for free. The majority of the content however is
in a PDF format and available for purchase and download for a very
reasonable fee. Most of the country guides are over 70 pages long
and are filled with excellent articles and information resource
lists. If you are serious about your international job search,
then the guides are worth the investment.
iAgora.com
...clearinghouse of internships,
jobs, study, and housing opportunities for recent college grads
seeking opportuniites internationally. Most listings are in Europe.
Membership is free but is not required to see the iWork job
listings, but some are "anonymized" so only paying members can
review them. You must register to apply for any listings found here,
and if you decide you want to be a paying member, the fee is low.
IntJobs.org, Job Vacancies at International Organizations and
United Nations Agencies
...this site is a tool to assist
users in searching for jobs with these international agencies and
organizations. On the front page you can choose to review the
listings by organization, job type, or country. From the top buttons
you can opt to look at just the New vacancies (last 3 days) or all
listings that are Expiring Soon (listings will be deleted in the
next 3 days). I like seeing the number of active listings under each
category. To apply for any listed position, you are connected to
that organization's website. No resumes/CVs are handled by this
site.
International Herald Tribune
...news and information from all
over the world. Scroll to the bottom of the front page to find the
link to the Classifieds.
International Career Employment Center

employment newspaper for subscribers, but a few job listings are
accessible non-subscribers online, including the “hot jobs” that
employers are urgently seeking to fill. You can also register to get

InternationalStudent.com
...offers a one-stop shop for any
service a student wishing to study abroad could need, including job
listings. I only noticed US jobs in the job search database (plus 9
listings from Ontario) but they did offer suggestions for searching
for work in other countries. Nice info for students on loans,
colleges that are willing to help fund foreign students, insurance
needs, etc.
JobPilot
...international job market with
offices in several countries plus the US. Services through their web
site include job listings (search by keyword or country and
discipline and limit it to the most recent or all), a resume
database, company listings, and an email service. Resume posting and
email service require registration for the Premium Service, but this
is free. JobPilot was sold to Monster by Adecco in April 2004, so I
am watching for the inevitable changes that come with any Monster
acquisition.
JobShark
...this international career site
has entered new waters along with new partners ElSition and MaST
Americas to expand into Central and South America. These are
additions to their previous offering for Canada, Ireland, and the
UK. Countries represented at this time are Chile, Colombia, Peru,
Venezuela, Argentina, and Mexico.
Monster Work Abroad

Where there was a choice of languages, I have linked to the English
version of these sites and services.
Most web sites in Canada offer a French version that can easily be
reached from the main page or through these links.

nicejob.ca
...the former Actijob is now
nicejob.ca (English) or beljob.ca (French). They index the listings
found on participating sites and put them in a central location. You
apply directly to the employer. They occasionally scan the links to
be sure the postings they link to are still there.

opportunities in the Kitchener/Waterloo (includes Cambridge, Guelph,
Listowel, Mitchell, St. Marys and Stratford), Peel-Halton-Dufferin,
Hamilton, Niagara and Brant/Brantford-Haldimand-Norfolk areas. I
hope it expands as it is a marvelous tool.
AtlanticCanadaCareers.com
....job listings and employer/career

skip the jobs in other regions posted by companies based here.
CanadianCareers.com
....jobs and employment/career info
for Canadians. Very nice selection of occupations with references to
sources for finding even more info and jobs. Job seekers will also
want to check the News and Events page for info on upcoming
career fairs and internship deadlines. Very nice, well rounded site
covering all facets of career and employment info for Canadians.
Canadian Executive Recruitment
...recruiting professionals in
Engineering, Operations/Production, Logistics/Materials for a
variety of Canadian manufacturing areas. Take a look at his
suggestions for interviewing, resumes, and follow-up letters.
CanJobs.com
...nice gateway to hundreds of jobs
for Canadians. You can work from the main page or choose to go into
their provincial databases and avoid the other stuff. As usual, the
IT jobs are the most prevalent, but they are not the only jobs here.
The links to additional sources are uneven, but those that link to
specifically Canadian companies, employment agencies, and other
sources look good.
Working.canada.com (was CareerClick)
... job leads from many of Canada’s
daily newspapers. Search for jobs by category and location, or use
the advanced search to limit the dates and newspapers searched. You
can also register to post your resume or have job listings sent to
you via E-mail. At the time of review, some of the events and
external links were out of date.

organization founded by Canadian employers offering 6, 9, or 12
month internships to recent graduates of university, college and
high school.
CareerPlace
A job search support service for
Aboriginal persons in Canada. Job seekers can register for
assistance and access to the online job database. CareerPlace is an
initiative of the Native Women's Association of Canada.
Charity Village
"...Canada's busiest source for
nonprofit jobs." It includes hundreds of job listings and continuing
ed opportunities for the sector. Browse the jobs by the posting date
or search by keyword.
Employment News
...online companion to the free
newspaper found all across Ontario (Canada). Select a job category
to see all positions in that category, but you can cut this down to
just those listings in your region. In addition, the site offers job
tips, resume tips, employer profiles, school profiles (for your
education and training needs), and news and events. There is also a
resume database too which employers access through a separate login.
Human Resources and Skills Development Canada -- HRSDC / HRDCC
(was HRDC / DRHC)
The former HRDC / DRHC has been
divided into 2 agencies. This one is the employment service for
Canada, including central and regional services. In addition to the
job bank, other information on unemployment, training programs, and
how to search for a job is included. (Workers will also want to look
at the
Department of Social Development for information on unemployment
and other benefits.) HRSCD / HRDCC also maintains the following
employment services:
ELE: The Electronic Labour Exchange
Opportunities all over Canada.
Select a job/career category, fill out your experience, and see if
anything matches. For those seeking new careers, the career profiles
are interesting to read.
National Job Bank
I found this easier to search than
the ELE, above. It let me check all jobs submitted in the last 48
hours for a specific region, which was a lot easier than the
skill-match.
Jobs, Workers, Training & Careers
...straightforward, easy-to-use
interface to assist Canadians in finding work and developing a
career. You’ll find strategies for evaluating your next steps in the
career process, financial assistance, and job leads. Recent
immigrants can get help in the Citizenship and Immigration Canada

search of human services and helpful consumer, business, and
education information, all searchable by audience or topic.

active for about 2 weeks.
Nevian Consulting & Placement Services Inc.
Based in Toronto, Ontario, Nevian
specializes in the recruitment and placement of bilingual
professionals in a variety of disciplines. Some "unilingual"
positions also available.
+Jobs Canada
...the listings are divided into
categories (Computer/IT, Industry, Admin, Social, and Other).
There's no search feature, so you'll have to check your category to
see what's underneath. In some cases, they break a category out
geographically, so you have to look under each location to see
what's listed. Nice feature is the "New Jobs" list where you can
scan down all jobs posted in the past few days.
Positionwatch Information Technology Employment Network.
...IT jobs in Canada. Search by
keyword or check the employer list.
Possibilities Project
...virtual employment center for
jobseekers in Toronto. Free registration is required for users to
access almost everything except for some articles on the front page.
However, registration only means giving them your name, phone
number, and email address. It does not mean posting your resume, so
I recommend you go ahead and register. What you will find in here is
well worth the minute spent filling out their short form.
Healthjobs.ab.ca
"The Provincial Health Authorities

healthcare and medical positions in the province of Alberta. Besides
the job listings, you can review all kinds of information about

..."Canada's biggest jobsite." I am
inclined to believe them just by looking at the front page. Search
jobs by keyword, location, date, or who's "Now Hiring". Take a look
at some career resources. Registration is not required to search the
jobs, but if you register you can save searches and set up a
CareerAlert email service. Registration is also free and does not
require you to submit your resume unless you want to. Great resource
center, full of articles and advice. A service of the Globe and
Mail, I believe.
workopolisCampus.com
...Canada 's biggest job site for
students and recent graduates. Registration is required, and you
must obtain a special access code from your campus career center in
order to view job postings.

Very nice site handling the Irish

resume to their IT or Non-IT CV databases. They also have an IT
Worldwide section for employers/job seekers looking outside of

NIjobs.com
...you can easily search jobs on
this site dedicated to Northern Ireland. Register to post your
resume or receive job leads via E-mail.
Nixers.com
..full and part-time jobs in
Ireland, plus some abroad. A nixer is Irish slang for a little job
(traditionally, one done on the sly!), but there are full time and
permanent positions here too, and I don't see anything "under the
table" (as we say in the US). You can scan the many categories (I
personally like the "Irish Pub Abroad" and "Crazy / Random Jobs"
areas), or search by keyword. According to their FAQ, all jobs
listed expire after 14 days, unless an employer has confirmed that
the openings still exist. If you are really interested in the
hospitality industry, they offer special rates to bars, pubs, and
hotels to attract a lot of listings. If you choose a search from the
left menu (company, category, location, industry) you will see how
many listings are available in each area. Nice. Register your CV for
free.

category, or opt for the keyword search.. Submitting your CV or
resume to this agency is a simple process. Their monthly newsletters
include good info on hiring and industry trends along with other
topics of interest to international job seekers.
Premier Recruitment Group
...this Irish agency consists of 4
divisions: Premier Recruitment (Accountancy & Finance), La Crème
Recruitment (Administration & Secretarial), Brunel Recruitment
(Manufacturing, Engineering & IT), and Projects Recruitment (Company
Start-up & Expansion Projects). Select "Job Search" to review and or
all listings in their database.
RealJobs.ie
..."where every job is a real job."
They do not permit recruiters to post here, so all jobs lead you
directly to the employer. Nice feature -- you can see lists of all
job categories, employers, and locations on the front page along
with the number of listings in each category. Registration is not
required to search the database and many listings include the
employer's contact information, but some listings are "confidential"
which means the only way you will be able to apply for these
positions is by registering and using their "apply now" feature.
Please note that if you opt to post your resume here it will not be
deleted unless you either delete it yourself or ask them to delete
it for you.

RecruitmenTurkey
"Turkey's Human Resource and
Recruitment Site Guide." On the left side buttons, I can see
categories for Consultancy Companies, Companies, Recruitment Sites,
HR Resources, Other Related Links, University Career Centers, and CV
and Cover Letter Samples, but that's all I can tell you about the
site because I don't read Turkish. If someone does and wants to send
me a more complete review, I'd really appreciate the help.

Career Classifieds
...Search or browse job listings
from South Africa and other areas. Nice feature -- if there are no
listings in a particular job field, that category does not display
in the Browse area. A little point of clarification: on the ads
under Member Info it says to "click here to view contact details to
apply for this position". The "member" is the employer or recruiter
who posted this ad, so you do not need to be a member to view the
contact info for the jobs. It is only if you wish to use the Apply
Online feature that you have to have your resume registered with the
site. Registering also allows you to use other advanced features of
the site.

Asia-Net
"Japan's leading career site for
bilingual professionals." Asia-Net serves the Asia/Pacific-Rim
business community, and all jobs require fluency in English plus a
second language of this region (Japanese, Korean, Chinese). You may
need to install a Japanese language pack in your web browser to view
everything in this site, but I did not have problems navigating
without this. Registration is not required to view the jobs, but it
is required in order to apply to them.
Asia Online! Asia Employment Center
...general job and resume-posting
board for the many countries which make up Asia. Some have
individual job and resume boards, but be sure you double- check the
main employment board too. All postings are updated every 30 days,
and all are free. Some postings are jobs in the US for persons of
Asian descent. Note for persons posting their resumes here: you will
be asked to fill in their form, but you can cut-and-paste from your
current resume. However, many of you are adding in personal
information such as marital status and date of birth which is
probably not necessary at this time. An employer who is interested
in speaking with you might ask for that information, but please be
aware that if you are interviewing for a job in the United States
that you are not required to give date of birth, age, or marital
status unless you have been offered a job. I know that in many
countries this information is required, but not here.

not need to register your resume here to apply for jobs found here.

copy-and-pasting your resume into the appropriate areas. At the time
