FOR BUSINESS WOMEN IN ISLAMIC COUNTRIES

Objectives of the Forum

1)     To identify the major challenges facing the businesswomen in the Islamic countries. In light of the international developments, to find practical means for addressing them and to determine the requirements for developing this sector and create a better environment for its promotion.

2)     To pin point spheres where businesswomen need support and development and provision of necessary requirements, such as organization, management, formation and provision of information technology and quality enhancement.

3)     To highlight the significance of the open business and its role in the economic development process of the Islamic countries and the enhancement of their capital.

4)     To enhance opportunities for exchange, contracting and integration among themselves as businesswomen on the one hand and with the businessmen at all levels on the other hand.

 

Activities of the Forum

The Forum will comprise of the following sessions:

1)      Inaugural session

2)      Working sessions

3)      Bilateral meetings

4)      Sightseeing tour of important historical sites in U.A.E.

5)       Special exhibition for businesswomen

 

Topics of the Papers presented during the Forum

1)     Role of the Islamic Chamber and experiment of businesswomen councils in the Islamic countries.

2)     Mechanism of Work and Perspectives Projects of Businesswomen

3)     Culture and Social Environment of Businesswomen Activities in Islamic Countries.  

 

Proposed Working Papers  & Presentations:

Presentation will present in two languages at least (Arabic, English and French) on CD or through E-mail before 15 January 2005 on the following address: icci@icci-oic.org.

·        Ministries of Economy, Trade, Finance, Labor and Social Affairs in Islamic countries.

·        Financing Corporation and Islamic Banks

·        Federations/Councils of Chambers of Commerce and industries as well as the local chambers in the GCC, Arab and Islamic countries.

·        National institutions responsible for development of women in general.

·        All private sector companies working in UAE and GCCC OIC.

Important Note:

   Cancellation of participation must be made in writing and will be subject to the following deduction:

a. 30 days before the Meeting     :    50% will be deducted per delegate.

b. 7 days before the Meeting      :    75% will be deducted per delegate.
